Hello, and welcome to the first entry of Something Borrowed, Something True! I’ve been marrying folks for about 20 years now and I realized that with the close to 1000 couples I’ve married, I have a lot of information about wedding ceremonies, wedding traditions, families, bridesmaids and groomsmen and most importantly marriage. “Marriage IS what brings us together today!”
Because of the way I work with my couples, slowly and carefully building a ceremony around the conversations we have and the worksheets and homework they complete, I’ve spent many more intimate hours than most of my colleagues with couples who are preparing to marry. I’m not quite ready to write another book (But you can get Promises To Keep: Crafting Your Wedding Ceremony right here.) But I do have a lot more to say about not only how to make your wedding day a spectacular event that people will enjoy and remember forever, but also how to create a ceremony that will support you and your beloved as you live happily and healthily ever after!
